Melanie Theriac, RN – Founder, CEO & Managing Partner
In 2001, I had a vision of starting a Healthcare Staffing Company and today 15 years later, I am literally seeing my dream become reality with Healthcare travel contracts in 50 states and thriving in the PRN market as well. I am proud of what this company stands for. As an RN myself, it gives me such satisfaction to know that we are providing healthcare facilities with excellent clinicians to help with their shortage of healthcare staff. We do live by our Mission: Patients First. As the CEO and Managing Partner of Medical Staffing Solutions, the best part of my day is hearing the buzz of the growth in our office and knowing that we are employing hundreds of healthcare professionals.
When I am not working you will find me spending with my husband and our children. I have two incredible daughters and 3 amazing step-daughters. My husband and I are so blessed with these 5 girls. They are truly the light of our lives.
I enjoy golfing, running 5k’s, and of course traveling. One bucket list item that I am still dreaming of, is to have a winter home near the beach. I am a true beach lover!
Joan Reneer, RN, BSN – COO & Managing Partner
Chief Operating Officer and co-owner of MSS, I have spent the last 13 years growing this wonderful business. As a single mother with 3 children it wasn’t easy, but somehow our small, local agency that provided only PRN nursing shifts has developed into a large national travel company. Today, MSS employs almost all medical disciplines and staffs in all 50 states. This business keeps me hopping everyday but I couldn’t be more proud of the exciting job opportunities it provides for my medical peers!
As a Registered Nurse, I started my career in hospitals, working in Med/Surg, telemetry, ICU, and CVICU. Transitioning into homecare, I eventually opened and operated a Medicare Certified Home Health Agency and a Home Infusion Agency. In 2003, MSS became the next challenge for me and it was so cool to build it with another nurse who cares about our employees as much as I do.
Coming from a family with 8 siblings and having 3 children of my own, I spend a lot of my non-working time with family. Many people aren’t aware that I have been a boat captain for many years! I really enjoy water-skiing and being outdoors. I also love to travel, so I’m definitely in the right business.
Hello, my name is Beth Schnell and I am the Director of Operations for Medical Staffing Solutions, LLC. I work out of our local office in Evansville, IN. My experience in office management and in the clinical field as an LPN has really prepared me for my role at MSS. I will strive day to day to make sure our clients’ needs are met as well as our clinical employees. Along with running the operations of the office, I am also the person you will hear after hours on-call. The best part about working in the MSS office is the great bond that we have with each other. We have a wonderful team that will go above and beyond for our employees!
When I am not working you will usually see my husband and I riding our Harley. We love to take long trips in the summer! If we aren’t riding then I am usually supplying him with a “honey do list”. I also love to spend time with my children and grandchildren.
One of my main hobbies is shopping! I also love to curl up with a good book.
